FISHING METHODS

All legal methods are allowed.Flying 'c' is popular and the colours which catch most fish are red/silver,black/silver,20 gram in high water and 7 gram in low water.Fly-fishing is good in late evening.Shrimp fly,Hairy Mary,Thunder and Lighning,Blue Charm are also used.

REGULATIONS

(1)All anglers must have in their possession confirmation of booking e.g receipt.

(2)All anglers should liase with E.S.B Officer

(3)Prawn/Shrimp are banned from Feb-May inclusive.

(4)All beats are marked.

(5)All fish caught must be presented to Fisheries staff for inspection.

(6)Anglers must hold a current State Angling Licence,which must be produced on request by Fisheries Staff.

(7)Anglers must not move from alloted beat.

WHEN YOU HEAR THE SIREN, WATER LEVELS CAN START TO RISE RAPIDLY UP TO SIX FEET SO USE CAUTION!

Average catch 200

Spring Salmon 10 - 14lbs

Grilse 5 - 6lbs

Trout 2 - 3 lbs
